Yes because people of our generation have created their identitys using online networking sites for example, facebook/twitter/youtube.

Our generation as a whole is represented largely by the current tv shows about teenagers such as skins, the behaviour of the teenagrs in misfits etc.

You see people represented in these programs as typical images of characters you could expect to meet. Individuals can relate to certain aspects of the characters behaviour during certain situations at certains times in the shows.

we reject the qualities of failure in the cast of skins because many of the characters fail their education and career due to drugs and violence. We aspire to have desirable qualities represented in the media to be desirable such as beauty/humour etc.

You can make many online accounts with social networking sites such as facebook myspace bebo and twitter etc. to contact your friends upload pictures and videos and tell people whats going on in your life. However you can use more specialised sites such as Youtube for uploading more videos, mypace for uploading music and flickr for photo's.

Yes, Facebook can help create identity by status updates showing what your doing. Also you can add pictures, links, music and videos all contribute to your online identity usually expressing your personal identity.

People play online worlds and games to compete and experience a variety of different challenges for themselves, they can socialise with others online. Me and Shanna don't use twitter or youtube.

Collective identites use the internet to create websites, fans advertise themselves, Online communities are important to some businesses to make themselves more known.
